Control unit replacement

Certain values can be read out of the old instrument cluster and can be tranferred into the new instrument cluster. A prerequisite for this is that the communication can be set up between the old instrument cluster and Porsche System Tester II 9588 . The following values can be read out of the old instrument cluster and can be transmitted into the new instrument cluster:

• Total mileage
• Tank calibration
• Vehicle Ident. No.
  NOTE:

  • The country coding is not read out and transferred via this function.
  • Correct country coding is a prerequisite of the correct functioning of the instrument cluster.
