Removing And Installing Gasket For Spur-Gear Cover: Installing

Ensure faultless seating of the dowel sleeve.
Screw two centering pins (special tool 9321) into the transmission housing, put new gasket on and fit cover.
Tighten screws in two steps.
1st step: Tighten screws 1, 2 and 3 by hand. Ensure that the gap between cover and transmission housing is equally reduced all round.

2nd step: Tighten screws 1...14 in the stated sequence to 23 Nm (17 ft.lb).
