Installing knock sensor

Information 

Tightening torques, tightening sequence and assembly overviews for the engine and transmission:

• Group 1: →  1X00IN TECHNICAL VALUES 
• Group 2: →  2X00IN TECHNICAL VALUES 
• Group 3: →  3X00IN TECHNICAL VALUES 

Information 

• Observe the specified tightening torque for the knock sensor screw  .
• Align the housing and cable plug for the knock sensor in such a way that they are not touching  .
• Otherwise, there is no guarantee that the knock sensor will work correctly  .

Information 

• Clean contact surface of knock sensor with a cloth.

1. Install knock sensors -1-  . Make sure that the knock sensors are aligned as shown in the illustration.

   1	Knock sensor
   2	Fastening screw, M8 x 35

2. Tighten fastening screws -2-  .
3. Push on cable plug.
