EGR System: Description

The Exhaust Gas Recirculation (EGR) system is used to help control formation of NOx emissions. Recirculating a limited amount of exhaust gas into the intake system lowers combustion temperatures causing reduction in NOx emissions. Thermostatic valve is used to control EGR operation pertaining to engine temperature.
