Ignition Coil Resistance

  1. Remove primary and secondary leads from ignition coil. Using ohmmeter, check primary resistance between (positive) and (negative) terminals of coil. Resistance should be as specified. See the IGNITION COIL RESISTANCE  table.
  2. Check secondary resistance between (positive) and (negative) terminals of coil. Resistance should be as specified. Replace coil if readings were not within specification. Refer to the IGNITION COIL RESISTANCE  table.
