Pressure Transducer

  1. Remove panel underneath dashboard (driver side). Unplug connector from Automatic Performance Control (APC) unit. Connect vacuum pump and pressure gauge to pressure transducer hose.
  2. Connect ohmmeter between Black/White and Green/Red wires of APC connector. Measure resistance. Resistance should be 8-13 ohms at atmospheric pressure.
  3. Increase pressure to approximately 14.5 psi (10.2 kg/cm2 ) and then let it drop to 8.7 psi (.61 kg/cm2 ), at the same time tapping lightly on APC bracket. Resistance at 8.7 psi (.61 kg/cm2 ) should be 83-93 ohms. If readings are not as specified, replace pressure transducer.
