Two-Port & On-Off EGR Valve

With engine at idle, disconnect EGR valve vacuum hose at thermostatic valve. Connect vacuum pump to hose. Apply vacuum to EGR valve. Engine idle should become rough or engine may stall. If engine idle does not change, check or clean EGR ports. If ports are okay, replace EGR valve.
