Two-Port & On-Off EGR System

  1. Warm engine to normal operating temperature. Connect tachometer to engine. Slowly increase engine speed. Note engine RPM at which valve begins to open.
  2. Opening RPM should be as specified in EGR VALVE SPECIFICATIONS  table. Check EGR valve and EGR thermostatic valve if RPM and valve opening is not within specification.
