Ecu Adaptation

NOTE: If power supply to the ECU has been disrupted, new data must be entered to refamiliarize the system with driveability patterns.
  1. Expose Throttle Position Sensor (TPS) terminals by pulling back rubber boot. Connect jumper wire between terminals No. 1 and 2.
  2. To reprogram the system, vehicle must accelerate at full throttle from 2000-3500 RPM. Because programming occurs at 2750-3250 and requires 3 seconds to complete, the procedure should be performed in highest gear possible.
NOTE: For other distributorless (direct) ignition system tests, see TESTS W/CODES article.
