Pressure Transducer
- Remove panel underneath dashboard (driver side). Unplug electrical connector from pressure transducer. Connect vacuum pump and pressure gauge to pressure transducer hose.
- Connect ohmmeter between Black/White and Green/Red wires of pressure transducer connector. Measure resistance. Resistance should be 8-13 ohms at atmospheric pressure.
- Increase pressure to approximately 14.5 psi (10.2 kg/cm2 ) and then let it drop to 8.7 psi (6.1 kg/cm2 ), while tapping lightly on pressure transducer bracket. Resistance should be 83-93 ohms at 8.7 psi (.61 kg/cm2 ). If readings are not as specified, replace pressure transducer.
