Fuel Pump Relay

  1. Turn ignition off. Connect DVOM to relay terminal No. 87 and ground. See Figure . Using a jumper wire, ground terminal No. 85. Replace relay if DVOM does not indicate battery voltage.
  2. Apply battery voltage between terminals No. 85 and 86. Inspect for continuity between relay terminals No. 30 and 87. Replace relay if continuity does not exist for each measurement.
  3. Inspect associated wiring for short or open circuits. See WIRING DIAGRAMS article. Repair wiring as necessary.
