Removal & Installation - 9-5 Series

Remove wiper arm covers and loosen wiper arm nuts slightly. Use a puller to loosen wiper arms. Remove nuts and wiper arms. Remove rubber wiper spindle seals and 2 screw clips on the ends of windshield cover. Loosen cover seal. Remove windshield cover by lifting front edge, then pulling forward. Watch for hood release cable on driver's side to make sure it does not get damaged during removal of cover. Unbolt ECM protective cover. Disconnect ECM electrical connector. Use a magnetic deep 10-mm socket to remove 1 mounting bolt on each side of ECM. Remove ECM. To install, reverse removal procedure. Spray Kontakt 61 electrical contact spray on ECM connector terminals. Also take care not to damage hood release cable during reassembly.
