Description & Operation

Vehicles are equipped with Supplemental Restraint System (SRS). SRS consists of air bag modules, Electronic Control Unit (ECU) with safety sensor, clockspring, sensors, and SRS warning light in instrument cluster.

WARNING: Vehicle is equipped with driver-side air bag. Use extreme caution while servicing steering column. Disconnect battery and wait several minutes before attempting any repair. To prevent inadvertent air bag deployment, DO NOT apply electrical power to any component on steering column without disconnecting air bag electronic control unit.
