Fuel shut-off: Notes
Fuel shut-off will take place if any of the following criteria are fulfilled:
- +15 supply missing
- fully depressed accelerator pedal during starter motor cranking
- engine speed above (depending on coolant temp.):
- coolant temperature < 60° - above 6300 RPM
- coolant temperature 80° - above 6400 RPM
- air mass/combustion exceeds a calibrated value, unique to each car model
- immobilizer code incorrect
- throttle rotated manually while engine running
- major fault in throttle control
- a pedal sensor fault if the engine speed exceeds 2200 RPM
- ignition discharge module not powered
- engine speed above 1800 RPM, accelerator pedal fully released and coolant temperature exceeds 20°C. This applies in 3rd, 4th and 5th gears on cars with manual gearbox and in 2nd, 3rd and 4th gears on cars with automatic transmission. Injection starts again at 1400 RPM.
