To fit

  1. Apply acid-free vaseline, part no. 30 06 665, to the rubber seal on the mass air flow sensor. Change the rubber seal if necessary.
  2. Fit the mass air flow sensor, 2 screws.
    IMPORTANT: The mass air flow sensor must be fitted in the intake air pipe with the arrows in the direction of flow.
  3. Fit the hose to the mass air flow sensor.
  4. Fit the top of the air collection box, snap fasteners and screws.

  5. Attach the connecting hose to the turbo inlet pipe.
  6. Plug in the mass air flow sensor connector after first spraying it with Kontakt 61, part no. 30 21 763.
  7. Fasten the mass air flow sensor cable to the cable clips on the top of the air collection box.

    Adjust the cable so that it cannot be pinched or chafed.
