To fit
WARNING:
Do not connect the control module before it is fitted.
- Fit the Airbag Control Module by inserting it between the center console's aluminum frame and the floor into its position. Tighten the screws that hold the Airbag Control Module.
Tightening torque 10 Nm (7 lbf ft)
IMPORTANT: Take care when plugging in the connector so as not to damage or press out the pins/sleeves in the connector. For further information regarding connectors, refer to CONNECTORS, HANDLING AND INSPECTION . - Fit the two connectors to the Airbag Control Module.
- Remove the wedge.
- Fit the front legroom adjuster screws on the center console's aluminum frame.
NOTE: Adjust the center console so that it aligns with the front panel by using the adjuster screws.
- Fit the rear legroom adjuster screws on the center console's aluminum frame.
- Fit the connector to the ignition switch.
- Fit the center console's rear cover.
- Fit the center console's rear side panel.
- Fit the center console's front side panel.
- Fit the passenger seat.
- Perform the procedure for after fitting a control module.
- Connect the battery.
- Turn ON the ignition and check the airbag system and control module using the diagnostic tool as follows:
Connect the diagnostic tool to the data link connector under the dashboard. Delete any diagnostic trouble codes.
Turn the ignition OFF and then ON again. Wait at least 10 seconds with the ignition on. Check whether a diagnostic trouble code is shown:
If a diagnostic trouble code is shown:
Carry out fault diagnosis according to the instructions under respective trouble codes.
If a diagnostic trouble code is not shown:
The assembly was successful. Disconnect the diagnostic tool.
