Test readings, BCM: Remember:
- Note the test conditions and use common sense when assessing the test results.
- First check that the control module has a power supply and is grounded.
- Then check all sensor inputs and signals from other systems.
- Finally, check the control module outputs. Remember that the test reading does not indicate whether the actuator works.
- If any reading is not OK, consult the wiring diagram to trace which leads, connectors or components should be checked more thoroughly.
- The specified values refer to a calibrated Fluke 88/97.
- Test readings % (+) and ms (+) show the signal's pulse ratio and pulse length, respectively. A test instrument that can measure pulse ratio and pulse width must be used. The sign indicates the positive trigger pulse, TRIG+.
