Kickdown function: Notes

The engine control system includes a pedal sensor which gives information on the position of the pedal. When the pedal angle exceeds a certain value the engine control system changes the "KICK DOWN" message from OFF to ON. The TCM uses this information to control the gear change points to give maximum performance.

The Kickdown function is available in all shifting programs.
