To fit
NOTE:
Apply non-acidic vaseline to the O-rings to assist fitting.
- If necessary, fit new O-rings to the injectors. Remove the plugs from the injector orifices and fit the fuel rail and injectors.
Tightening torque: 8 Nm (6 lbf ft)
- Fit the pressure regulator vacuum hose.
- Screw in the two rail retaining screws.
- Fit the wiring to the fuel rail.
- Fit the following connectors: ignition discharge module, injectors, manifold absolute pressure sensor, mass air flow sensor and turbo pressure sensor.IMPORTANT: Make sure the connectors are fitted to the correct injectors as indicated on the wiring. Spray all the connectors with Kontakt 61 contact cleaner (part no. 30 04 520) before plugging them in.
- Fit the wiring holder.
- Screw in the rear screw.
- Tighten the front screw.
- Connect the hose and fit the hose clips.
- Tighten the turbocharger delivery pipe retaining screw on the cylinder head.
- Attach the accelerator pedal wire to the pedal arm on the throttle body and tighten the three screws. Adjust the wire if necessary.
- Remove the plug and fit the dipstick with filler pipe and the cover on the throttle body pedal arm.
- Connect the hose for crankcase ventilation.
- Start the engine and perform an integrity check.
- Fit the engine cover.
