Disconnecting Procedure

Record all preset and theft codes from the radio.
Turn the ignition switch to the LOCK position.
Verify that all the electrical components are off such as interior lights, all doors are closed, the underhood lamp, etc.
Loosen the negative battery cable bolt.
Remove the negative battery cable (5) from the battery.
Position the negative battery cable away from any body ground.
