Fuel Tank Draining Procedure

CAUTION: Refer to Gasoline/Gasoline Vapors Caution in Cautions and Notices.

CAUTION: Refer to the Battery Disconnect Caution in Cautions and Notices.

Disconnect the negative battery cable. Refer to Battery Negative Cable Disconnect/Connect Procedure in Engine Electrical.
Raise the vehicle. Refer to Lifting and Jacking the Vehicle in General Information.
Loosen the fuel fill hose clamp (1).
Disconnect the fuel fill hose (2) from the fuel tank.
Use a hand or air operated pump device in order to drain as much fuel from the fuel tank as possible.
