Code 87 - Brake Warning Light Circuit Open: Notes

Red BRAKE warning light can be turned on by ABS control module in the event that brake performance is degraded by ABS fault. Because ABS is not the only device controlling BRAKE light, ABS control module cannot detect a short to ground on this circuit. An open in the circuit will not adversely affect ABS, but control module will flash ANTI-LOCK warning light.
