Clutch Assembly: Installation
- Install clutch disc and pressure plate with yellow mark on pressure plate aligned as close to mark on flywheel as possible. Install Clutch Disc Alignment Tool (SA9145T) through clutch disc until tool bottoms out in crankshaft. See Fig 1
.
- Tighten pressure plate-to-flywheel bolts to 18 ft. lbs. (25 N.m) in a crisscross pattern. Remove alignment tool. If clutch fork ball stud was replaced, tighten new ball stud to 18 ft. lbs. (25 N.m).
- Lube fork pivot point with high-temperature grease, and install release bearing. Install clutch fork. To complete installation, reverse removal procedure. Use new retaining bolts for DIS coil pack.
