Bleeding Brake System: Notes

Brake system can be bled using conventional methods. Use either manual method with an assistant, or a pressure brake bleeder.

WARNING: Some of the following service procedures require that ABS motors be cycled up and down using Tech 1 scan tester. DO NOT drive or operate vehicle with anti-lock brake control assembly in tension-released position. With tension released, excessive pedal travel and reduced brake effectiveness could occur. Always perform Tech 1 scan tester SPECIAL TEST, RUN ABS MOTORS and PISTONS UP-HOME functions before driving vehicle.

CAUTION: Use only DOT 3 brake fluid from a clean, sealed container.
