Anti-Lock Brake System: Operation

The ABS Control Module (ACM) receives and processes a wheel speed signal from each wheel sensor. When wheel lock-up is about to occur, the ACM activates ABS components to modulate hydraulic pressure to each wheel. The ABS incorporates self-diagnostic capabilities. See DIAGNOSIS & TESTING  .
