Code 87, Brake Warning Light Circuit Open: Notes

Red  BRAKE warning light can be turned on by ABS Control Module (ACM) in the event that brake performance is degraded by ABS fault. Because ABS is not the only device controlling BRAKE light, ACM cannot detect a short to ground on this circuit. An open in the circuit will not adversely affect ABS, but ACM will flash ANTI-LOCK warning light.
