Ignition System: Notes

All vehicles are equipped with a high energy ignition system capable of producing in excess of 50,000 volts. Systems include the Opti-Spark system (4.3L and 5.7L), C(3)I system (3.8L), IDI system (2.3L) or DIS (1.9L, 2.0L, 2.2L, 3.1L, 3.4L and 4.6L) and the High Energy Ignition Electronic Spark Timing (HEI-EST) distributor system (4.9L).
