Flag 71: Cooling System High Temperature

Flag will set if engine coolant temperature is greater than 239°F (118°C). Check for low coolant, faulty thermostat (stuck closed), reservoir cap damage, collapsed radiator hoses, faulty water pump and plugged radiator. Towing a trailer on a grade or extended high ambient idling may set this flag without presence of a problem.
