Clearing Trouble Codes
NOTE:
On models not utilizing a 12-terminal DLC or if no wire is present in terminal "B", codes are cleared using a scan tester.
To clear general information codes, turn ignition switch to ON position and jumper diagnostic test terminal "B" to ground terminal "A" at DLC connector 3 times within 5 seconds. See Figure . General information codes will also clear automatically if they do not reoccur within 50 ignition "on" cycles. Malfunction history codes and information flags can only be cleared using a scan tester.
