Code 32: EGR System Error: Notes

PCM controls EGR flow by sending a PWM ground signal to linear EGR module. Since PCM does not have the capability to control valve directly, linear EGR module reads PCM signal and amplifies signal to operate valve.

EGR solenoid also incorporates a position feedback circuit which sends a signal to PCM indicating the location of pintle. When valve is closed, normal position sensor voltage should be 0.3-1.2 volts.

Code will set if voltage is less than 0.1 volt or if actual position does not closely match desired position after 25 seconds (within 10 percent or 26 counts).
