Circuit Description
MAP sensor responds to manifold pressure (vacuum). PCM measures the voltage drop across MAP sensor. Voltage ranges from 1.0-1.5 volts at idle (high vacuum) to 4.0-4.5 volts at wide open throttle (low vacuum).
DTC will set if MAP reading changes by greater than .14 volt (13 kPa) when throttle position is not changing, engine speed change is less than 100 RPM, EGR commanded steady, IAC change is less than 10 counts and no EGR, TP sensor or IAC sensor DTC(s) set. MAP sensor signal is continuously checked when engine is running and these conditions have been met.
