When attempting to diagnose an intermittent problem, use scan tool to review malfunction history diagnostic information. This data can be used to duplicate a problem.

If DTC P0108, P0122, P0563, P1106 or P1122 is present, a short to battery voltage in the 5-volt reference circuit is possible. If a short exists while attempting to diagnose DTC, PDT communications will be lost and driveability problems will exist.
