A/C Compressor Does Not Operate: Notes

NOTE: When checking A/C compressor operation or for battery voltage, ensure blower motor switch and A/C switch are in ON position. Ensure A/C system is properly charged before making electrical checks. Check for Powertrain Control Module (PCM) Diagnostic Trouble Codes (DTCs). See the TESTS W/CODES article.

Turn ignition switch to ON position. Select any blower motor speed (except OFF). Select A/C mode (button pressed). Observe indicator light on A/C button. Go to appropriate test.
