Electrically Erasable Programmable Read Only Memory (EEPROM) stores control algorithm and diagnostic calibrations within ABS module. These functions are checked regularly for accuracy. Calibration change could result in unpredictable Anti-Lock Brake System (ABS) operation. If any faults are detected, ABS operation will be disabled and ABS light will illuminate.
Code 82 will set if ABS module detects an internal error, or an incomplete calibration download.
