Diagnostic Aids
Check gear assembly for a loose fit or worn sprocket.
WARNING:
When replacing motor pack, DO NOT place hands near motor pack modulator gears. Gears may have enough preload tension to cause personal injury.
hen ignition is cycled on, ABS module verifies motors are in home position. Connect scan tool. Perform ABS motor tension release special test before removing motor pack. ABS will initialize when vehicle is driven at least 8 MPH.
NOTE:
System initialization alternates between left front/rear and right front/rear with each ignition cycle.
When diagnosing intermittent problems, select MALF HISTORY from scan tool ABS menu. Supplemental data can be used to duplicate problem.
