Park Lock Cable (Floor Shift): Notes
WARNING:
When battery is disconnected, vehicle computer and memory systems may lose memory data. Driveability problems may exist until computer systems have completed a relearn cycle. See COMPUTER RELEARN PROCEDURES article in GENERAL INFORMATION before disconnecting battery.
NOTE:
Vehicles with column shift do not use a park/lock control cable. On all vehicles, with transmission range selector lever in Park position and ignition switch in LOCK position, ensure transmission range selector cannot be moved to any other position. Ignition key should be removable.
