Code 93: Brake Switch Circuit Open During Initialization: Notes
When wheel speed sensors indicate to ABS module that vehicle is braking, ABS module should receive voltage from brake switch. If ABS module does not receive voltage, ABS operation will be disabled and ABS light will illuminate. Check for Code 95. If Code 95 is set, diagnose it first. See Fig 1 .
Code 93 will set if brake switch circuit is open during initialization. This code can be set only if Code 91 or 92 was set on 7 previous ignition cycles and no brake transition has been seen since.
