Abs Code 13: Traction Control Light Circuit Fault: Testing

  1. Turn ignition on. If TRACTION CONTROL light is on, go to step 4). If light is not on, turn ignition off. Disconnect ABS control module. See COMPONENT LOCATIONS  table. Turn ignition on. Using jumper wire, connect harness connector terminal A06 (Light Green wire) to ground. If TRACTION CONTROL light goes out, go to next step. If TRACTION CONTROL light stays on, check connector contacts. Repair as necessary. If no problem is found, replace ABS module.
  2. Turn ignition off. Remove jumper wire. Check voltage at harness connector terminal A06 (Light Green wire). If battery voltage exists, go to next step. If battery voltage does not exist, check continuity of Light Green wire between ABS module terminal A07 and instrument cluster terminal "M". Repair as necessary. If Light Green wire is okay, check bulb. Repair as necessary. If no problem is found, replace instrument cluster. See INSTRUMENT CLUSTER  under REMOVAL & INSTALLATION.
  3. Check for short to battery voltage on Light Green wire between ABS module terminal A06 and instrument cluster terminal "M". Repair as necessary. If short does not exist, replace instrument cluster. See INSTRUMENT CLUSTER  under REMOVAL & INSTALLATION.
  4. If TRACTION CONTROL light goes out after 3 seconds, problem is intermittent. Check connectors and use scan tool to check history code. If TRACTION CONTROL light stays on, turn ignition off. Disconnect ABS module connector. See COMPONENT LOCATIONS  table. If TRACTION CONTROL light turns off, replace ABS module. If TRACTION CONTROL light stays on, check continuity between ABS module terminal A07 (Light Green wire) and ground. If resistance is less than one ohm, repair short to ground. If resistance is more than one ohm, replace instrument cluster. See INSTRUMENT CLUSTER  under REMOVAL & INSTALLATION.
