Code 94: Brake Switch Circuit Always Closed: Notes
When wheel speed sensors indicate to ABS module that vehicle is braking, ABS module should receive voltage from brake switch. If voltage is present at vehicle start, and vehicle speed exceeds 25 MPH, Code 94 will set, ABS light will illuminate, and Anti-Lock Brake System (ABS) or normal braking will not be affected. See Fig 1 .
Code 94 will set if brake switch is always closed. Drive vehicle at speed faster than 25 MPH with brake pedal released, and check for reappearance of Code 94. SERVICE light will illuminate.
