Abs Code 11: Abs Light Circuit Fault: Testing

  1. Turn ignition on. If ABS light is on, go to next step. If light is not on, turn ignition off. Disconnect ABS control module. See COMPONENT LOCATIONS  table. Turn ignition on. If light is on, check connector contacts. Repair as necessary. If no problem is found, replace ABS module. If light is still off, check bulb and Light Green/Black wire between instrument cluster and ABS module. Repair as necessary. If no problem is found, see INSTRUMENT CLUSTER RESISTANCE CHECK  under COMPONENT TESTS.
  2. If ABS light goes out after 3 seconds, problem is intermittent. Check connectors and use scan tool to check history code. If ABS light stays on, turn ignition off. Disconnect ABS module connector. See COMPONENT LOCATIONS  table. Turn ignition on. Using jumper wire, connect harness connector terminal A07 (Light Green/Black wire) to ground. If ABS light stays on, go to next step. If ABS light goes out, check connector contacts. Repair as necessary. If no problem is found, replace ABS module.
  3. Turn ignition off. Remove jumper wire. Check voltage at harness connector terminal A07 (Light Green/Black wire). If battery voltage exists, go to next step. If battery voltage does not exist, check continuity of Light Green/Black wire between ABS module terminal A07 and instrument cluster terminal "I". Repair as necessary. If Light Green/Black wire is okay, see INSTRUMENT CLUSTER RESISTANCE CHECK  under COMPONENT TESTS.
  4. Disconnect instrument cluster connector. With ignition off, check voltage at instrument cluster harness connector terminal "I" (Light Green/Black wire). If battery voltage exists, repair short to battery voltage on Light Green/Black wire. If battery voltage does not exist, see INSTRUMENT CLUSTER RESISTANCE CHECK  under COMPONENT TESTS.
