Test B: One Mirror Does Not Operate In One Direction

  1. If mirror operates in up and down positions, go to next step. If mirror operates in left and right positions, go to step  4 .
  2. Remove power mirror trim panel of inoperative mirror. Disconnect power mirror motor harness connector. Connect a test light between terminals "B" and "C" at inoperative power mirror motor harness connector. See Fig 1 . Select inoperative mirror at power mirror switch. Move power mirror switch to right and left position. If test light is off in either position, go to next step. If test light is on in both switch positions, check mirror motor connector connections. If connections are good, replace inoperative power mirror motor. See POWER MIRROR MOTOR  under REMOVAL & INSTALLATION.
  3. Check for and open or short ot ground in wiring between terminal "C" at power mirror harness connnector and power mirror switch harness connector. See WIRING DIAGRAMS  . If problem exists, repair as necessary. If problem does not exist, check power mirror switch harness connector connections. If connections are good, replace power mirror switch. See POWER MIRROR SWITCH  under REMOVAL & INSTALLATION.
  4. Remove power mirror trim panel of inoperative mirror. Disconnect power mirror motor harness connector. Connect a test light between terminals "A" and "B" at inoperative power mirror motor harness connector. See Fig 1 . Select inoperative mirror at power mirror switch. Move power mirror switch to up and down position. If test light is off in either position, go to next step. If test light is on in both switch positions, check mirror motor connector connections. If connections are good, replace inoperative power mirror motor. See POWER MIRROR MOTOR  under REMOVAL & INSTALLATION.
  5. Check for and open or short ot ground in wiring between terminal "A" at power mirror harness connnector and power mirror switch harness connector. See WIRING DIAGRAMS  . If problem exists, repair as necessary. If problem does not exist, check power mirror switch harness connector connections. If connections are good, replace power mirror switch. See POWER MIRROR SWITCH  under REMOVAL & INSTALLATION.
