Diagnostic Procedures
- Perform On-Board Diagnostic (OBD) system check. See ON-BOARD DIAGNOSTIC (OBD) SYSTEM CHECK under SELF-DIAGNOSTIC SYSTEM. After performing OBD system check, go to next step.
- Ensure there is no fuel injector-related DTCs are set. Diagnose affected DTCs first. If no other DTCs are set, check fuel level. Add as necessary. If fuel level is okay, go to next step.
- Warm engine to normal operating temperature. Raise and hold engine speed at 1200 RPM. Using scan tool, monitor O2S1 sensor. If sensor voltage is about 100-900 mV, go to next step. If sensor voltage is not about 100-900 mV, go to DTC P0134: O2S CIRCUIT - INSUFFICIENT ACTIVITY - SENSOR 1 .
- Diagnose fuel system to determine cause of lack of fuel during heavy acceleration. See BASIC FUEL SYSTEM CHECKS in appropriate BASIC DIAGNOSTIC PROCEDURES article.
