DTC B1000: Ecu Malfunction

  1. Turn ignition on. Using scan tool, monitor BCM DTCs. If scan tool displays DTC B1000, go to next step. If scan tool does not display DTC B1000, problem is intermittent.
  2. Turn ignition off. Wait 10 seconds. Turn ignition on. Using scan tool, monitor current or history DTCs. If scan tool does not display DTC B1000 as a current or history DTC, problem is intermittent. If scan tool displays DTC B1000 as a current or history DTC, replace BCM. See BODY CONTROL MODULE  under REMOVAL & INSTALLATION. Retest operation.
