Test A: Power Windows Do Not Operate
- Check WINDOW/SUNROOF fuse (30-amp) in underhood fuse block. Check Orange wire between underhood fuse block and right instrument panel fuse block for short to ground or open. SeeWIRING DIAGRAMS . Repair circuit and replace fuse as necessary. If fuse and circuit are okay, go to next step.
- Check IGN fuse (30-amp) in underhood fuse block. Check Red wire between underhood fuse block and ignition switch for short to ground or open. See WIRING DIAGRAMS . Repair circuit and replace fuse as necessary. If fuse and circuits are okay, go to next step.
- Check Black wire between master switch assembly and right body ground splice pack for poor connection or open. See WIRING DIAGRAMS . Right-side body splice pack is located under passenger's seat. Repair circuit as necessary. If ground circuit is okay, go to next step.
- Check Brown wire between ignition switch connector and right instrument panel fuse block connector for short to ground or open. See WIRING DIAGRAMS . Repair circuit as necessary. If fuse and circuit are okay, go to next step.
- Check Yellow wires between right instrument panel fuse block connector and master switch assemblies for open or short. See WIRING DIAGRAMS . Repair circuit as necessary. If circuit is okay, go to next step.
- Check power window relay. Power window relay is located in right instrument panel junction block. All junction block relays (except ABS and door lock) are interchangeable. Substitute a known-good relay from either junction block to check system. Replace as necessary. If relay is okay, go to next step.
- Check Black wire between right instrument panel fuse block and right body ground splice pack for poor connection or open. See WIRING DIAGRAMS . Repair circuit as necessary. If ground circuit is okay, go to next step.
- Check master switch assemblies. See POWER WINDOW SWITCH under COMPONENT TESTS.
