Intermediate-4TH Servo Assembly: Removal

  1. Position vehicle on a hoist and raise vehicle. Remove oil pan. See TRANSAXLE OIL PAN . Remove oil level control valve. Pull valve straight down. Do not pry on valve. See Figure.
    2. CAUTION: Be careful not to score or damage transaxle case when removing filter neck seal.
  2. Remove oil filter and oil filter O-ring seal. The seal may remain in case when filter is removed. Using a chisel, indent top of filter neck seal to relax press fit. See Figure.
  3. Remove filter neck seal from transaxle case and discard. Remove intermediate/4th servo assembly bolts. Remove intermediate/4th servo assembly and return spring. See Fig 1.
