BTSI Solenoid

Check solenoid connector for open, spread or corroded terminals. Remove BTSI solenoid. Ground terminal "A" of BTSI solenoid and apply 12 volts to terminal "B". See Figure. When 12 volts are applied to BTSI solenoid, actuator rod should not be able to move. If actuator rod can move with 12 volts applied, replace BTSI solenoid. See Figure.
