Keyword Protocol 2000

Keyword Protocol 2000 (KWP2000) is used by Transaxle Control Module (TCM) and Electronic Brake/Traction Control Module (EBTCM) on vehicles equipped with V6 engine. KWP2000 is also used by Engine Control Module (ECM). KWP2000 is only used for diagnostics and reprogramming. KWP2000 is not used for normal vehicle operation as is the case with class-2 serial data link and CAN link.
