Circuit Description
ECM enables an injector on intake stroke of each cylinder by grounding control circuit through an internal switch. When ECM is commanding an injector on, voltage of control circuit should be about zero volts. When injector is not active, voltage on control circuit should be about battery voltage. If ECM does not get response from injector, this DTC will set. ECM will continue to test the circuit and if fault goes away, injector driver will be reactivated.
DTC will set when injector circuit is open and battery voltage is between 7.5-15.0 volts and engine speed is greater than 40 RPM.
