Muffler Hanger: Installation

  1. Install muffler hanger into muffler hanger bracket.
  2. Tighten muffler hanger bolt.

    Torque: 

    Muffler Hanger Bolt: 12 N.m (9 ft-lbs) 

    NOTE: Make sure that after installing the muffler hanger that the system has not shifted rearward allowing contact between the hanger bracket bolt (1) and the hanger block. This will cause noise; loosen the muffler strap and shift forward on muffler to eliminate contact - retighten.
  3. If muffler strap need to be relocated per important above tighten:

    Torque: 

    Muffler Strap around Muffler: 22 N.m (16 ft-lbs)
