Transaxle Position Switch (A/T) Test

WARNING: This page does not describe the selected car, but rather 10 other vehicles, including the 2001 Saturn LW300, 2001 Saturn LW200, 2001 Saturn L300, 2001 Saturn L200, and 2001 Saturn L100. However, it is still accessible from the selected car via links, so may be relevant.

Disconnect transaxle position switch Gray 7-pin connector on "L" series, or Gray 2-pin connector on "S" series. Transaxle position switch is located on top of transaxle, between transaxle and shift linkage. See Fig 2 . On "L" series, connect a fused jumper wire between transaxle position switch harness connector terminals "E" and "G". See Fig 1 . On "S" series, connect a fused jumper wire between transaxle position switch harness connector terminals. On all models, turn ignition switch to START position. If engine cranks, replace transaxle position switch.
